'Redwood Ring,' a 2017 entry by staff member Woody Carroll

About the Contest

The Chancellor’s Office and University Relations are sponsoring a contest to choose a photograph of UC Santa Cruz for Chancellor Blumenthal’s winter holiday card. The contest is open to all UCSC faculty, staff, and students.

The first-place winner’s image will appear on the front of the chancellor’s greeting card. A photo credit will appear on the card, and the first-place winner will receive a $300 gift certificate at Bay Tree Bookstore.  There will be four runners up who will each receive a $50 Bay Tree Bookstore gift certificate.  Please note, if the winner of the photo contest is a UC Santa Cruz employee , UC policy requires that the $300 gift card value be reported to Payroll and included in the employee’s W-2 earnings.
