Handbook for UCSC Principal
Investigators
This handbook consolidates
most of the information needed by UCSC Principal
Investigators (PIs) in the process of securing
extramural support. It includes details of proposal submission
and discusses items, which can delay processing.
PIs are encouraged to scan this handbook
when contemplating the submission of a proposal so ample time is
allowed
for review. Many items can be handled in
advance.
This handbook is also meant to provide
a guide for meeting the audit requirements of various funding agencies
and for avoiding
administrative
problems, which
can be frustrating.
At this time (January 2003), the PI Handbook is available only
in hard copy and can be obtained either from the Office of Sponsored
Projects or downloaded
and printed on your computer from this site in a PDF format. To download
these forms, you must have Acrobat Reader, preferable version 3.01
or higher, installed
on your computer. If you do not have Reader, you may download it
free from Adobe's
Reader web site.
