Divemaster Class
The NAUI Divemaster certification is a diving leadership position - the only higher leadership certification is NAUI Instructor. As a NAUI Divemaster you will be one step away from being a NAUI Instructor and will have the required skills to be employed in most dive resorts throughout the world, as long as you renew your certification annually and you have current liability insurance.
This program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to organize and conduct safe and enjoyable open water dives for certified divers. Because of the high level of responsibility you will be undertaking, you are expected to meet high training standards throughout this course.
The course entails 2 hours of lecture each week, at least 2 hours of pool work each week, and 12 weekend days of ocean work. Make sure your schedule allows for this kind of time commitment before enrolling. Only 6 persons will be enrolled in this course. Two person CPR and Fill Station Operator training will be included with this course. This course will be offered during the Winter and Spring quarters of the 2008 - 2009 school year.
