June 11, 2009 Heller Road pavement rehabilitation project starts June 15Crews will begin work on Heller Road from the west entrance to College Eight June 15. Work will include demolition of the existing road, conform grinding, grading, excavation, installation of a full roadway overlay, and road striping. The project's estimated completion date is September 14. Two-way traffic control will be in place. Drivers should expect up to three-minute delays in both directions. The main campus entrance is suggested as an alternate route during the summer. Construction will be noisy because of large construction equipment. It is recommended that bicyclists avoid this area and instead use the bike path behind the Music Center to enter or leave campus when accessing the west side of campus. Pedestrian access will be open during construction.
