Re: Organizational change in Business and Administrative Services
I am writing to announce a recent organizational change in the Business and Administrative
Services (BAS) division. As of November 1, Catherine Faris, formerly director of
planning and analysis in BAS, has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice
Chancellor, Business and Administrative Services. In this new role, Assistant Vice
Chancellor Faris will continue to oversee the activities of the Office of Planning
and Analysis while assuming greater responsibility for divisional management in the
areas of operations, divisional planning and resource management.
Assistant Vice Chancellor-Physical Planning and Construction (PP&C) and Campus
Architect Frank Zwart has been promoted to Associate Vice Chancellor-Physical Planning
and Construction and Campus Architect in recognition of the expanded role he and
his units are playing in planning and accommodating growth of the campus's physical
environment. The scope of the physical planning and construction effort has expanded
to include off campus initiatives, and new and challenging planning and construction
issues are emerging on campus as land use intensifies in the existing campus core.
Please join me in wishing both Assistant Vice Chancellor Catherine Faris and Associate
Vice Chancellor Frank Zwart success in their new capacities.
Sincerely,
Tom Vani
Vice Chancellor, Business and Administrative Services
