October 20, 1999 To: The Campus Community From: Chancellor Greenwood Re: Community service survey Dear Faculty and Staff, I would like to direct your attention to the Community Service Survey that was distributed to faculty and staff on July 23, 1999. The information collected from this survey will catalog the number of hours and location of service performed by faculty and staff between June 1998 and the end of June 1999. In addition, the survey asks faculty and staff to indicate the volunteer activities they might be interested in performing in the future. This information could be used to plan faculty and staff events. I realize that some people did not have an opportunity to complete the Community Service Survey over the summer. I would like to ask you to take a few minutes to do so now. It is important to the university that the information collected reflects the participation of faculty and staff in the community. Please complete the survey regardless of whether you participate in community service. The Planning and Budget Office will be accepting surveys until November 5, 1999. You may complete the survey on-line and return it electronically.
