Re: 2000 Banana Slug Spring Fair Planning
On behalf of the Office of Admissions and the Alumni Office, the University Events
Office is in the process of planning the 2000 Banana Slug Spring Fair, to be held
on Saturday, April 15, 2000. We anticipate 6000 visitors to campus, including prospective
students, alumni, and parents of current students.
Units and organizations are encouraged to contribute to the success of this day by
hosting special events or programs which highlight their unit or organization. Because
of the complexity of this event, all programs which occur on this day must be coordinated
together. Thus, if your unit is planning to offer an activity on April 15 (even a
private one), please have
a representative attend each of the planning meetings listed below. Units that offer
infrastructure support to the success of this event (TAPS, Grounds, Custodial, Police)
are also asked to send a representative. If you are unable to attend the first meeting,
please contact Event Coordinator Karen Hilker at hilker@cats.ucsc.edu as soon as
possible and let us know of your plans.
