Re: Humanities Dean Vision Talks
The Search Committee for the Dean of Humanities is pleased to announce the upcoming
visits of the candidates for this position. Four visits have been scheduled, and
one more is pending. Each candidate will present a talk to discuss their vision for
the humanities during their visit. These talks are open to the public.
ROMAN DE LA CAMPA, Professor and Chair, Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature,
SUNY Stony Brook will be visiting on Thursday/Friday, May 18 & 19. Dr. de la
Campa's Vision Talk will take place on Friday, May 19, at Noon in the Porter Fireside
Lounge.
WLAD GODZICH, Professor of English and Comparative Literature, Universite de Geneve,
Switzerland will be visiting on Thursday/Friday, May 25 & 26. Dr. Godzich's Vision
Talk will take place on Thursday, May 25, at Noon at the Red Room, College Eight
DAVID PALUMBO-LIU, Director, Asian American Studies, Department of Comparative Literature,
Stanford University will be visiting on Tuesday/Wednesday, May 30 & 31. Professor
Palumbo-Liu's vision talk will take place on Wednesday, May 31 at noon. Location
to be announced.
JOHN CARLOS ROWE, Professor, Department of Literature, University of California,
Irvine will be visiting on Monday/Tuesday, June 5 & 6. Professor Row's vision
talk will take place on Tuesday, June 6 at noon. Location to be announced.
