May 19, 2000 To: The UCSC Campus Community From: Dean of Engineering Search Committee Re: Engineering Dean candidate visits The Search Committee for the Dean of Engineering is pleased to announce the campus visits by candidates for the Dean of Engineering position. Each candidate will present both a research seminar, as well as hold an "Open Meeting" which the campus community is invited to attend. During the Open Meeting, the candidates will take a few minutes to present their 'vision' for the School of Engineering at UCSC. Following this presentation, participants will have an opportunity to ask the candidate questions. The Search Committee encourages all members of the campus community and particularly the School of Engineering to participate actively in these open meetings so that informed opinion on the candidates can be developed and communicated to the search committee.
