Re: Campus Holiday Food Drive

As we begin the busy holiday season, I write to remind you that the annual Second Harvest Food Bank UCSC Holiday Food drive is in need of donations. You can leave your bag of nonperishable foods at your Mail Stop or send your check anytime to Holiday Food Drive, UCSC. Make checks payable to Second Harvest Food Bank and note UCSC Food Drive in the memo section.

For every dollar donated, Second Harvest is able to distribute more than $9 worth of food. A $15 cash donation provides a family an average of 63 meals.

Food collected during the Holiday Food Drive is used throughout the winter months to provide food and basic necessities to a network of approximately 120 human service agencies and programs that serve more than 43,000 people every month.

Please join us in our effort to increase donations to Second Harvest Food Bank by supporting the UCSC annual Holiday Food Drive. The need for donations from the community is even more important than ever.

If you are planning on attending one of the campus holiday parties at University House, I encourage you to bring a donation. The times of the parties are listed below as a reminder. I hope to see you at one or more of these festive events.
