Re: California Whistleblower Protection Act - Annual Notice

Provisions of the California Whistleblower Protection Act (Government Code Sections 8545.2 and 8548.3) require the University to post notices regarding the Act and to provide all employees who have UC authorized access to email with a copy of the notice on an annual basis. The notice, which may be found at http://www2.ucsc.edu/hr/whistleposter.pdf includes information on what to report, where to report, how to report, a statement on protection from retaliation for whistleblowing, and a statement from the State Auditor's Office regarding the activities of that agency. The UCSC campus Procedures for Reporting Improper Governmental Activities and Protection Against Retaliation for Reporting Improper Activities are in the process of being revised; notice of the proposed revisions will be provided. The current UC Whistleblower and Whistleblower Protection policies can be found on the web at http://ucwhistleblower.ucop.edu.
