Re: California Whistleblower Protection Act-Annual Notice

Dear Colleagues,

Provisions of the California Whistleblower Protection Act (Government Code Sections 8545.2 and 8548.3) require the University to post notices regarding the Act and to provide a copy of the notice on an annual basis to all employees who have UC authorized access to email. The notice includes information on what to report, where to report, how to report, a statement on protection from retaliation for whistleblowing, and a statement from the State Auditor's Office regarding the activities of that agency.

The UCSC campus-specific Procedures for Reporting Improper Governmental Activities and Protection Against Retaliation for Reporting Improper Activities are in the process of being revised. A notice of the proposed revisions will be provided to you at a later date.
