Re: New process for AIS Grades

Academic Information Systems (AIS) has announced an enhanced process for entering end-of-term grades in MyUCSC that will commence early in the week of Monday, March 14. In response to feedback received during the last grading cycle, the online entry of grades is now easier to use, significantly faster, and more intuitive.

On the grading page for your class, you will now find a drop-down menu list that contains the appropriate grade choices for each student. Validation processing no longer has to happen between each grade entered, and saving your entries is easier.

Documentation of the new process will be available next week at http://ais.ucsc.edu and through standard distribution channels (Department Managers and Computer Coordinators). In addition, faculty and instructors are offered an informational session on Friday, March 18, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Room D at the Baytree Conference Center.

Drop-in assistance for faculty and instructors will be available at the Faculty Instructional Technology Center (FITC), located at Crown College, throughout the grading period as well. Scheduled hours for this assistance are:

* Tuesday, March 15: 9 a.m. to noon
* Wednesday, March 16: 1 to 4 p.m.
* Friday, March 18: 9 a.m. to noon
* Tuesday, March 22: 1 to 4 p.m.

If you have questions regarding the new grading process, please contact the AIS Help Desk at 459-1611 or email ais-help@ucsc.edu.
