Bob will provide support to the University Library during the search for the University Librarian. The position became open upon the retirement of University Librarian Alan Dyson. Bob has been a member of the Library's management team since October, 1980, and most recently has held the title of Assistant University Librarian for Planning and Technology. Mr. White holds a bachelor of Political Science and Public Administration from California State University at Long Beach; a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California; and a Master of Library Science from the University of Southern California. I welcome the leadership and management experience Bob brings to the Interim University Librarian position as the Library goes through this important transitional phase. Sincerely, John B. Simpson cc: Chancellor Greenwood
