The attached flyer is abbreviated and copied below. It is being sent to the campus administrative email tree, with the request that it be widely disseminated, especially among summer visitors to the campus. Thank you.

No Open Flames on Campus--High Fire Danger!

Please follow these fire safety rules:

* NO camp fires anywhere on or around UCSC Campus
* NO bonfires anywhere on or around UCSC Campus
* NO open flames of any type on or around UCSC Campus
* NO barbecues in areas around or near dead vegetation
* NO smoking in areas of dead vegetation
* Smoke only in designated approved areas
* Do not throw smoking material from a moving vehicle
