Re: Potential power outages
CAMPUS NOTICE
The past two evenings the campus experienced large scale power outages. The first occurred on Sunday around 9:30 P.M. and the second last night at 7:40 P.M. During both outages the Co-gen supported the critical science feeder.
Physical Plant is investigating the cause of the failures at this time. Indications point to a problem with the PG&E system, and investigations continue now to identify the source of the problem.
In the meantime, please be aware that power failures can occur at any time. If you are using a computer, save your material frequently. If you work in an area without outside light, or if you are working at night, please keep a flashlight nearby. If you have work that relies on power, please check with your building coordinator to be certain that all possible backup systems are in place.
