October 1, 2001 To: Campus Community From: Associate Vice Chancellor Jean Marie Scott Re: Two New Appointments in CHDCCSAssociate Vice Chancellor Jean Marie Scott invites you to join her in welcoming Alma Sifuentes as Director of Residential and Dining Services and Sue Matthews as Director of Business and Support Services for the Colleges, Housing, Dining and Child Care Services. Alma Sifuentes will begin her new position on October 1 and is joining CHDCCS from Stevenson College where she has served as College Administrative Officer since 1994. Alma earned a BA in Economics from UCSC and an MA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. Alma has over eleven years experience in higher education administration with work in student life, retention, student development, student leadership and academic success. Alma also brings to the position seven years experience in administration of residential life and dining services in a university setting. In addition to Alma's involvement with UCSC campus committees, she has been named to the inaugural Board of Directors for the new St. Francis Central Coast Catholic High School in Watsonville, furthering her commitment to bringing the dream of higher education to our community high schools.
