Re: Appointments in Grad Division
Dear Colleagues:
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce three new senior staff members who have joined the Graduate Division.
Dr. Donna Hunter will serve as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies. Briefly, Dr. Hunter will be involved in the implementation of systemwide and campus policies involving graduate student admissions, graduate student support, and the maintenance of quality academic standards in all graduate programs. She will assist departments in the development of new graduate programs and will monitor graduate program reviews. She will develop pedagogical mechanisms for training students in areas such as teaching, grant writing, etc.
Dr. Sandra Pacheco will serve as the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies. Dr. Pacheco will be involved in the recruitment and retention of graduate students; the development of programs with foreign countries, such as Mexico, for the recruitment and training of graduate students; and the development of formal centralized mechanisms to organize the postdoctoral fellows on our campus.
Steven Santiago will serve as the Information Technology Manager for the Graduate Division. Briefly, he will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the electronic transactions of the Graduate Division.
