Yesterday afternoon the California Independent System Operator declared a stage electrical system 1 alert due to higher than expected demands as the region experiences a record breaking heat wave lasting through the end of the week. Physical Plant would like to remind everyone to continue conservation efforts to ensure that blackouts are avoided.
