June 12, 2002 To: Campus Community From: Wes Scott, Director, TAPS Re: TAPS application on-lineThe application for Transportation & Parking Services (TAPS) permits and programs is available on-line again this year. As it takes time for TAPS staff to process applications and return materials to faculty and staff, people who are needing materials in time for July 1 use are encouraged to apply now. To apply, visit the TAPS website at http://www2.ucsc.edu/taps and click on the "Faculty & Staff Parking & Commute Programs for 2002-2003." Your choice from there is to read through the options available to you or go directly to our "application center." After you apply you may: 1. Print out the confirmation to send with your check or; 2. Go to our on-line secure credit card transmittal page (you are not charged on-line, the secure server provides the TAPS manager with your credit card number and authorization--all authorizations are destroyed after your card has been charged). If you signed up for a payroll deduction plan on your application, there are no other forms to fill out for payroll authorization. Remember, only annual, academic year and multi-year permits may use payroll deduction. If you already belong to a vanpool or have a multi-year permit, you will be automatically renewed without reapplying. Your new permit and bus pass will arrive in the campus mail. The CX, SX, EX, IX and A7 bargaining units should link from the TAPS main page to the rate page if unsure of your current rate. THANK YOU.
