Re: Elizabeth Penaat
While some of you may already have learned of this, I wanted to share with our campus community the news of the passing of UCSC pioneer Elizabeth A.Penaat.
While Elizabeth retired from UCSC more than 20 years ago, her work during her 17 years here was instrumental in the formation of our wonderful campus. Named vice chancellor for operations and employee affairs at UCSC in 1975, she also opened an important door for the many women who have filled leadership roles in the University of California system since then.
