Re: United Way campaign under way

1) Dates of United Way Campaign: January 2 - January 31, 2001.

Please return completed donor pledge forms by January 31, 2001, to University Relations.

2) Goal of Campaign: To increase total campus participation to 25%.

(Up from nearly 20% participation last year)

3) How to contribute:

  1. Return donor pledge form and a one-time donation in the form of a check.

  2. Return donor pledge form and specify amount for a monthly payroll deduction.

4) Commonly asked questions:

  1. Q: If I am already giving, and I don't want to make changes to my contribution, do I need to do anything?

A: No, you do not. Your contribution will automatically continue.

  2. Q: Does the United Way give to the Boy Scouts?

A: No, the Santa Cruz County United Way does not. That organization was taken off the recipient list five years ago due to inability to sign the non-discrimination form required by the Santa Cruz County United Way.

  3. Q: Where does my donation go?

A: All monies donated in Santa Cruz County support local organizations, unless otherwise specified.

  4. Q: Can I donate to a particular organization?

A: Yes, on your donor pledge form, you may designate any non-profit organization to receive your contribution. A minimum of $60.00 annually is required, if the organization is not one of the United Way member agencies.
