Wow! Events, exhibits and announcements listed on the on-line Campus Calendar are eligible to receive free publicity during the academic year (if requested in the Publicity section of the add form).
This Week @ UCSC (flyer)
This weekly flyer receives broad campus distribution, by being posted in each campus shuttle stop, delivered to each campus mail stop placed in several highly traveled campus locations and next to the SOAR student organization mailboxes. It is not distributed off campus. To be eligible for this flyer, select "On-Campus" publicity when adding your listing (see deadline below). View a sample flyer (pdf).
Good Times Advertisement (print)
"Events@UCSC" is a weekly advertisement that runs in the local Good Times newspaper. Events selected for this ad are typically those with broad general appeal and scheduled at times generally convenient to the public. To be eligible for inclusion, your listing must be open to the public and must request "Off-Campus" publicity (see deadline below). View a sample advertisement (pdf).
Deadlines for Eligibility
We must meet a variety of print and recording deadlines to publicize listings on time. A listing will be eligible for inclusion if it is complete by the following deadlines. Please plan ahead so we may help promote your listing!
On-Line Calendar - The earlier you submit your listing, the more people will view it as they browse the calendar. While there is no deadline to submit your information, we ask that you submit it as early as possible to assist other event planners. Remember, you can return to update information as it develops using the Calendar's "Edit Listing" section.
This Week @ UCSC Flyer - Submit your listing no later than noon on the Monday that precedes the Monday-through-Sunday week your event lands in.
Good Times Ad - Submit your listing no later than noon on the Friday that precedes the Thursday-through-Wednesday week your event lands in to be eligible for the issue that corresponds to your listing. If you list your information even earlier, it is eligible for inclusion in all the advance issues as well!
