Request Password
To submit listings to the Campus Calendar, each unit must first receive a login password. To do this, print out a Password Authorization Form (pdf) and submit it via fax (459-5795) or mail (Public Information Office, attn: Carolyn Lagattuta). (You must have Adobe Acrobat to download this form. You may download Acrobat for free at the Adobe Website.) Or, call 831-459-2495 for more information. Signature authorization is required so e-mail requests are not accepted. A login and password will be communicated to the contact usually within one working day of receipt of the completed form.
Before requesting a login/password, please review the information below.
One password per unit or activity center. The password provides access to add listings to the calendar as well as to modify any existing listings made to the calendar with that password. Occasionally, a unit may require more than one login and password, for use by different activity centers. This allows the activity centers to navigate control of their passwords differently: one may choose to share the password with a variety of users, enjoying greater flexibility, but accepting greater potential for password misuse. Another subunit may desire to keep very tight control over the password and the listings associated with it. In this situation, two passwords are needed, with different unit names, and two Authorization Forms must be completed.
One person must be identified as the password custodian. This person will be responsible for the control and internal dissemination of the unit-specific password. S/he will also serve as the administrative contact for the Public Affairs Office for all unit listings.
Each listing is stamped with the entering unit's name. Units may choose to enter listings on behalf of other units or organizations. A separate "Sponsored By" field allows any combination of co-sponsors to be indicated on a listing. The unit that submits the listing is noted at the bottom of the record, and is fully responsible for its accuracy.
Passwords may be changed. In the event of staff turnover or password misuse, the unit head or password custodian may
a new password. Contact the Public Affairs Office and specify a new one. To protect against unauthorized used of your password, please check your listings regularly. This is easily done using the Edit Listings feature.
