Comrades in the ukulele revolution. We will start with the basic chords and strums and due to the relative ease of playing the uke the pace will be brisk and will move quickly to playing interesting material. The special emphasis of this beginning class will be learning a correct relaxed playing style ; a fast track to smooth chord changes and rhythmic strums using relaxed ergonomics and an efficient playing style. Students must provide their own ukelele. If you don't have one you may rent at Sylvan Music. Instructor David Egan is a well known denizen of the local ukulele underground and a member in good standing of the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz. David Egan has been teaching music in Santa Cruz for more than twenty years and is also a well known audio engineer and guitar repair tech.
