Hoop Dance
he Hula Hoop is back and the hoops are bigger and better than ever. These new hoops, which are larger, more colorful and slightly weighted, allow for easier movement and maneuvering around the body which makes it possible for anyone to keep one spinning. Once you have the basic spin there are numerous moves and tricks both on and off the body that you can use to create an amazing dance. The Benefits of Hooping: • Hooping is a great new fitness fusion workout for body & mind! • Flex and strengthen your core muscles and tone your entire body while burning calories and fat. • Stimulate and balance right and left brain body awareness. • Free up your hips and spine. • Increase your hand-eye coordination, flexibility, balance and rhythm as you develop fluidity of motion in your body • A dance workout that opens up channels for creative self-expression. • Hooping creates a beautiful, mesmerizing dance with the hoop as a ‘flow tool’. Instructor Heather Troy is a certified Hoopgirl Workout Dance Teacher. Her joyful classes explore qualities of movement, both fast and slow, lyrical and electric. She uses positive language and play to help you feel fantastic! Her poetic teaching style provides detailed, encouraging instruction that will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.
