Images
When including images, be sure to specify "height" "width" and "alt" tags. This will minimize the time it takes a Web browser to load your page and will also facilitate navigation and maintain page layout for those with image loading turned off.
Be sure to save the image in JPG (for photos) or GIF (for graphics) format to minimize file size and thus download time. Use "thumbnail" images on main pages with optional links to larger versions.
