Deborah Abbott, director of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans Resource Center at UCSC, has had two pieces of short fiction published this summer. "Eating Out at Cafe Z" appears in Electric Alyson Press's collection of the decade's best lesbian erotic writing. "Of Hightops and Homeplates" appears in the just-released collection Whatever it Takes: Women on Women's Sport published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Abbott's work has been anthologized in more than 40 volumes. She is also coeditor of the best-seller From Wedded Wife to Lesbian Life (The Crossing Press, 1995).
