Supporting UCSC Students

Ken and Moira Feingold, shown at the annual Scholarships Benefit Dinner, support students and the colleges at UC Santa Cruz. "We had the benefit of an incredible education at a fraction of what it truly costs to provide that education," said Moira Feingold (Cowell '72) in describing one of the reasons she and her husband, Ken (Cowell '71), have chosen to give to UCSC. "College expenses have gone up so much, many families that could afford it in our day no longer can," adds Ken. "So by supporting scholarships, we want to encourage all those students to attend."

University Relations hosts inaugural Intellectual Forum

In the inaugural Intellectual Forum, four distinguished thought-leaders, two of whom are UCSC alumni, explored what a university education should be in a global society. Missed this special event? Please view our webcast.

UR honors college donors with virtual 'tile' web site

University Relations is honoring individuals who are supporting their colleges. Many graduates of UCSC support their college through the Alumni Colleges Fund. Eventually, these donors' support will be acknowledged at their college, as their engraved tiles will be on display. Until then, UR is honoring them on a virtual tile web site, like this one for Cowell College.

UR event honors people who have made a difference

The campus's inaugural Founders Day event took place earlier this year, celebrating UCSC's first 42 years by honoring the four outstanding individuals. See video tributes to Gary Heit, the Farr Family, Stanford Woosley, and Robert Sinsheimer.
