About the Campus Counsel

The Office of the Campus Counsel provides legal services to the UC Santa Cruz campus.  The Office provides representation, advice, research, training and opinions to the administration, faculty and staff, and others acting on the University's behalf.  The Campus Counsel reports jointly to the UC General Counsel and to the Chancellor.

Carole Rossi has served as University Counsel in the Office of General Counsel since 1999.  Ms. Rossi is a member of the State Bar of California, the Bar Association of San Francisco and NACUA, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit and all U.S. District Courts in California.
