About UCSC's Web Site

Organization

The content of the UC Santa Cruz Web site originates from this server, maintained by the central campus administration, and from more than a dozen other servers in campus departments and offices. The upper-level web pages have been developed by the campus's Public Information Office in consultation with UCSC's Web Content Committee. This committee is one of three charged by UCSC's Executive Vice Chancellor to oversee web development at UCSC. The Web Content Committee is chaired by a representative of the campus Public Information Office and was organized with faculty, staff, and student members.

Technical issues are the purview of the Web Technical Committee, chaired by a representative of the campus Communications and Technology Services (CATS) Office.

Policy issues are considered by the Web Policy Committee, chaired by a representative of the campus Planning and Budget Office. Anyone using University of California resources must comply with University policies and guidelines governing those resources. For further information about policies governing UCSC campus WWW pages, please see the current policy draft.
